CHAPTER 100.3

4-WAY STOP AT FRENCH DRIVE & DICKENS ST.

5 – 100.3-1      Purpose

It is the purpose of this ordinance to facilitate the orderly and safe flow of traffic with a 4-way stop sign at the intersection of French Drive and Dickens St. located at the southeast corner of section 20, township 10, range 8, west 2nd prime; southwest corner of section 21, township 10, range 8 west 2nd prime meridian; northeast corner of section 29, township 10, range 8, west 2nd prime meridian; northwest corner of section 25, township 10, range 8, west 2nd prime meridian, in Pierson township in Vigo County, Indiana.

5 – 100.3-2      General Provisions

      The Vigo County Commissioners deem it necessary to place a 4-way stop sign at this intersection to maintain safety in this flow of traffic on the above county roads of French Drive and Dickens Street in Pierson township, Vigo County, Indiana.

5 – 100.3-3      Penalties

      Violation of this ordinance is punishable by a fine not exceeding five hundred dollars ($500.00) plus court costs, at the discretion of the court".

5 – 100.3-4      Repealer

      All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

5 – 100.3-5      Severability Clause

      If any section, provision, or part op this ordinance is adjudged invalid

or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall not affect the validity or the

ordinance as a whole, or any section, provision, or part thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional.

5 – 100.3-6      Effective Date

      Passed and adopted by the Vigo County Board of Commissioners this 5th day of April, 1999.
