CHAPTER 100.1

5 – 100.1-1

It is the purpose of this Ordinance to facilitate the orderly and safe flow of traffic on South 1st Road in Vigo County, Indiana.

5 – 100.1-2      General Provisions

Except when a special hazard exists that requires a lower speed, the maximum speed limit on South 1st St. Rd., northbound just North of Vigo Drive, and Southbound just South of 5239 S. 1st St. Rd. in Vigo County, Indiana, is 40 miles per hour.

5 – 100.1-3      Penalties

Violation of this Ordinance is punishable by a fine not exceeding Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00), plus Court Costs, at the discretion of the court.

5 – 100.1-4      Repealer

All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed.

5 – 100.1-5      Severability Clause

If any section, provision, or part of this Ordinance is adjudged invalid or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the Ordinance as a whole, or any section, provision, or part thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional.

5 – 100.1-6      Effective Date

Passed and adopted this      25th day of August, 1997 by the Vigo County Board of

Commissioners.
