SPEED LIMIT ON POPLAR STREET BETWEEN S.R. 46 & KEANE LANE

5 – 98.1      Purpose

It is the purpose of this ordinance to facilitate the orderly and safe flow of traffic on Poplar Street between State Road 46 and Keane Lane in Vigo County, Indiana.

5 – 98.2      General Provisions

Except when a special hazard exists that require lower speed, the maximum speed limit on Poplar Street between State Road 46 and Keane Lane will be thirty-five (35) miles per hour.

5 – 98.3      Penalties

Violation of this Ordinance is punishable by a fine not exceeding Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00), plus Court Costs, at the discretion of the court.

5 – 98.4      Repealer

All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

5 – 98.5      Severability Clause

If any section, provision, or part of this Ordinance is adjudged invalid or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall not affect the Validity of the Ordinance as a whole, or any section, provision, or part thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional.

5 – 98.6      Effective Date

Passed and adopted this 16th day of September, 1996, by the Vigo County Board of Commissioners.
