5 – 96.1      Purpose

It is the purpose of this Ordinance to facilitate the orderly and safe flow of traffic with stop signs at the following locations:

      A STOP SIGN at HONEY CREEK ST & CARLISLE ST., an intersection located on the West line of the Southwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 22, Township 11 North, Range 9 West, at a point 837 plus or minus feet North of the Southwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of said Section 22. Honey Creek Township, Vigo County, Indiana.

      3-WAY STOP SIGN AT GARDENDALE RD & ARCADIA, an intersection located 32$ plus or minus feet North and 27$ plus or minus feet East of the Southwest corner of the Northeast Quarter of Section 19, Township 12 North, Range $ West, Lost Creek Township, Vigo County, Indiana,

      4-WAY STOP SIGN AT FRUITRIDGE AVE. & MARGARET AVE. (Margaret

Dr. & Sidenbender Rd), an intersection located at the Southeast corner of the Southwest Quarter and the Southwest corner of the Southeast Quarter of Section 35, Township 12 North, Range 9 West, Harrison Township Vigo County, Indiana. Also being located at the Northeast corner of the Northwest Quarter arid the Northwest corner of the Northeast Quarter of Section 1, Township 11 North, Range 9 West, Honey Creek Township, Vigo County, Indiana.

      4-WAY STOP SIGN AT CARLISLE ST. & CURRY DR., an intersection located an the South line of Section 22, Township 11 North, Range 9 West, 650 plus or minus feet West of the Southeast corner of the Southwest Quarter of said Section. Also located on the North line of Section 27, Township 11 North. Range 9 West, 550 plus or minus feet West of the Northeast corner of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 27, Honey Creek Township, Vigo County, Indiana.

5 – 96.2      General Provisions

      The Vigo County Board of Commissioners deem it necessary to place stop signs at the above intersections to maintain safety in the flow of traffic on the county road intersections in Vigo County, Indiana.

5 – 96.3      Penalties

Violation of this ordinance is punishable by a fine not exceeding Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) plus Court Costs, at the discretion of the court.

5 – 96.4      Repealer

      All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

5 – 96.5      Severability Clause

If any section, provision or part of this ordinance is adjudged invalid or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the Ordinance as a whole, or any section, provision, or part thereof not adjudged

invalid or unconstitutional.

5 – 96.6      Effective Date

      Passed and adopted by the Vigo County Board of Commissioners this 12th day of August, 1996.
