MAXIMUM SPEED ORDINANCE FOR EVANS LANE

FROM TOWNSHIP ROAD WEST TO STATE ROAD 41

5 – 89.1      Purpose

It is the purpose of this ordinance to facilitate the orderly and safe flow of traffic on Evens Lane from Township Line Road west to State Road 41.

5 – 89.2      General Provisions

      Except when a special hazard exists that requires lower speed, the maximum sped limit on that portion of Evens Lane from Township Line Road west to State Road 41 shall be forty (40) miles per hour.

5 – 89.3      Penalties

      Violation of this ordinance is punishable by a fine not exceeding Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) plus Court Costs, at the discretion of the court.

 5 – 89.4      Repealer

      All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with the previsions of this ordinance aura hereby repealed.

5 – 89.5      Severability Clause

      If any section, provision, or part of this Ordinance is adjudged invalid or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the Ordinance as a whole, or any section., provision, or part thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional.

5 – 89.6      Effective Date

      Passed arid adopted by the Vigo County Board of Commissioners this 28th day of November, 1988
