MAXIMUM SPEED ORDINANCE FOR CHAMBERLAIN ROAD

FROM STATE ROAD 42 TO STATE ROAD 40

5 – 86.1      Purpose

I     t is the purpose of this Ordinance to facilitate the orderly and safe flaw of traffic an Chamberlain Road from State Road 42 to State Road 40.

5 – 86.2      General Provisions

      Except when a special hazard exists that requires lower speedy the maximum speed limit on that portion of Chamberlain Road from State Road 42 to State Road 40 shall be forty (40) miles per hour.

5 – 86.5      Penalties

      Violation of this Ordinance is punishable by a fine not exceeding Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) plus Court Costs, at the discretion of the court.

5 – 86.4      Repealer

      All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed.

5 – 86.5      Severability Clause

      If any section, provision, or part of this Ordinance is adjudged invalid or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the Ordinance as a whale, or any section, provision, or part thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional.

5 – 86.6      Effective Date

      Passed and adapted by the Vigo County Board of Commissioners this 28th day of November, 1988.
