AID AMBULANCE ORDINANCE

3 – 50.1      Purpose

      An ordinance permitting Aid Ambulance at Vigo County, Indiana, to offer an ambulance service membership program pursuant to the provisions of Indiana Code Section 27-4-5-2, providing Basic and Advanced Life Support Service in Vigo County, Indiana.

3 – 50.2      General Provisions

      Aid Ambulance at Vigo County, Indiana, intends to offer a "membership program" whereby a person in Vigo County may pre-pay the uninsured portion of an ambulance bill for a fixed price, and may not offer any membership program that includes benefits exceeding one (1) year in duration pursuant to IN Code Section 27-4-5-2.

3 – 50.3      Repealer

      All ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

3 – 50.4      Severability Clause

      Should any section, provision, or part of this Ordinance be adjudged invalid or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the Ordinance as a whole, or any section, provision, or part thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional.

3 – 50.5      Effective Date

      This Ordinance will be of full force and effect upon its passage by the Vigo County Board of Commissioners this 28th day March, 1994.
