CHAPTER 32

 

AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING

A SPECIAL NONREVERTING FUND

FOR ENHANCED ACCESS

 

 

2 – 32.1      Purpose

This Ordinance is enacted to establish a special nonreverting operating fund for the purpose of funding enhanced access to public documents and information maintained in the County's computer system.

 

2 – 32.2      General Provisions

2 – 32.2-1      There is hereby created a special nonreverting operating fund to be designated the "Enhanced Access Fund" to be administered by the Vigo County Council.

2 – 32.2-2      The Enhanced Access Fund shall consist of the monies collected for printouts of information from the County's Computer System as requested for access to public information and user's fees collected for access to the Vigo County web site and/or access to public documents and information through enhanced (electronic) access.

2 – 32.2-3      The monies in the Enhanced Access Fund may be used only for expenses incurred for implementing, maintaining and updating the Vigo County web site and electronic access to public documents and information.

2 – 32.2-4      All monies collected in the Enhanced Access Fund shall be subject to appropriation by the Vigo County Council.

2 – 32.2-5      Any monies remaining in the Enhanced Access Fund at the end of the year shall not revert to any other fund but shall remain in the Enhanced Access Fund for use as specified in this Ordinance, and shall not require a notice of encumbrance but shall be automatic in accordance with this Ordinance.

2 – 32.2-6      In the event of termination of the Enhanced Access Fund, any balance remaining shall be transferred into the general fund.

 

2 – 32.3      Effective Date

This Ordinance shall be effective on the last date of adoption.

      This Ordinance has been adopted by the Vigo County Board of Commissioners this 22nd day of March, 1999.
