CHAPTER 27

SUPPLEMENTAL RECORDING FEES

2 – 27.1      Purpose

This ordinance shall be known and may be cited as the Supplemental Recording Fee by the Vigo County Recorder.

2 – 27.2      General Provisions

2 – 27.2-a      The Vigo County Recorder shall charges an additional Three Dollars ($3.00) as a supplemental recording fee to record a single document.

2 – 27.2-b      These supplemental fees shall be deposited into the Vigo County Recorder's Records Perpetuation Fund for use by the County Recorder without appropriation for the preservation of records and the improvement of record keeping systems and equipment.

2 – 27.2-c      This fee is in addition to any other fee provided by law.

2 – 27.3      Repealer

All ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance: are hereby repealed.

2 – 27.4      Severability Clause

      If any section, provision, or part of this Ordinance is adjudged invalid or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall not effect the validity of the ordinance as a whole or any section, provision, or part thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional.

2 – 27.5      Effective Date

      Passed and adopted this 1st day of March, 1999 to continue on and be up for review effective March 1, 2000.
